In an effort to communicate and increase community engagment, I’ve scheduled three morning get-togethers over the next few months. These “conversations” will be very informal. We’ll talk, visit, dialogue or just share stories over a morning coffee, juice or light refreshments.
We’ll gather upstairs in the police facility meeting room for an hour to talk and listen. I expect to learn much from our time together. I’ll invite some city staff to attend with me, so residents can get answers to questions, too. I will particularly be looking for ideas on how to improve life in Manchester. Please come with suggestions. And, if you’re upset with a city action, that’s a fair topic of conversation, too. There’s one requirement, though: if an issue “angers”, we must be respectful and civil as we talk with each other.
The dates and time for these morning gatherings will be: Sept. 12, Nov. 14 and Jan. 16, at 7:30 a.m. We’ll visit and talk until 8:30. Please join me at one or more of these morning conversations. I look forward to it!
If these conversations prove beneficial and fun, in the future, I’ll schedule similar get-togethers with evening hours.
